Chicory coffee is a beverage made using chicory root that has been roasted, ground and brewed into coffee. It is believed to have first been used during a coffee shortage in France in the 1800s, but it remains popular around the world today and especially in New Orleans. It is an excellent source of fiber and an excellent choice for those looking for a coffee substitute.

We have carefully blended a formula that is very similar in taste to coffee. Dark, robust and with a slight chocolate undertone.Our chicory root coffee taste delicious hot or iced!

Using a coffee maker, french press, or pour-over dripper, brew 1 Tablespoon per 8-12 ounces of water depending on taste. Pour over ice or enjoy hot.

This takes a little getting used to. It's a required taste, but I'm managing to get the perfect amount for my taste. Just needs a little time.

Fabulous as always. I had to stop drinking coffee due to digestive issues. I don't think it tastes anything like coffee - but I do think that if any of the substitutes DID taste like coffee, this would be the closest. I have tried A LOT of "coffee substitutes" and this is the best tasting by far (even including the "substitutes" that actually include coffee! 😂). It has an earthy (not mushroomy) cocoa flavor. Turns out it's pretty nutritious too! ♥️♥️♥️

Best Coffee Substitute Ever

I have been trying to decrease my coffee intake. The Chicory Root Coffee Blend does it for me. It tastes like real coffee. I like that I'm drinking a substitute that better for me and tastes great at the same time.

Love love love it!

I love this coffee blend! It doesn’t make me feel jittery, in fact, I feel way better after I drink a cup. I’m already on my third bag and will continue to order more until I learn how to make my own, which probably won’t be any time soon so thank goodness for Doris Mae 😊
